DECIMAL POINT SDN BHD started its operation in July 1996, involved in the CD Interactive, architectural and broadcast animation market. It’s track records include projects like Putrajaya, Telekom’s Labuan Teleport and Menara Alor Setar, Encorp’s Cahaya the Sanctuary, and other clients such as ASTRO and TV3.
The team’s pride and joy is the 1996 SOUTH EAST ASIA IMAGE COMPETITION which was held in October 1996 in Singapore. With entries from South East Asia countries, the team managed to garner the “Best Animation” award and the “Overall Winner” award. Later in August 1997, at SIGGRAPH, Los Angeles, USA, the company’s architectural animation were selected among other notable animators worldwide to be in KINETIX’S (Autodesk) showcase.
Being granted the MSC Status in December 1997, the team is planning to spread it’s wings further to develop CD Interactive products and 3D Animated Television Series for the local and international markets.
The road seems long, but the strong will and vision will keep the company driving along with the market needs in the multimedia technology.
